00Privacy
Your details, and your rights.
This notice covers the personal data that this website and its brief form collect. It explains why we use it, who receives it, how long we keep it and which rights you have under the GDPR.
01Who we are and how to reach us
The controller of your personal data is Joel Eyoum (brand: Jungle Labs). In this notice, ‘we’ and ‘us’ mean the controller.
We have not appointed a data protection officer. For questions about your data or this notice, write to us by email: kontakt@junglelabs.pl.
02What we collect
The form on our contact page asks for your name, company, email address and a description of what you need. You can also tell us your company's size and when you would like to start. The form also sends us the page and language you used it in, and your confirmation that you have read this notice.
When you email us, we receive your email address, your name and whatever you include in your message and its attachments.
When you visit the site or send the form, the services that deliver them receive technical data that every web request carries. This includes your IP address, your browser type and the page requested.
Please do not send us sensitive information, such as health data, in a brief or an email. We do not need it to answer an enquiry.
03Why we use your data and on what legal basis
We use your data only for the purposes below, each with its own legal basis under Article 6 GDPR. We do not rely on your consent: the checkbox on the brief form only confirms that you have read this notice. Newsletters or other marketing would need your separate consent.
- Replying to your enquiry and discussing the work, for example arranging a call or sending a proposal. If you write on behalf of an organisation, the basis is our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries (Article 6(1)(f)). If you write as a sole trader about your own business, it is taking steps at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b)).
- Preparing and performing a contract, if we agree to work together. For a sole trader, the basis is the contract itself (Article 6(1)(b)). For people who work for a client, it is our legitimate interest in working with that client (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Establishing, exercising or defending legal claims connected with a contract. The basis is our legitimate interest in protecting our rights (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Delivering this website and keeping it secure, using the technical data described above. The basis is our legitimate interest in running a reliable and secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).
04Whether you have to give us your data
Giving us your details is voluntary, and no law or contract requires it. Without your name, company, email address and a short description of what you need, however, we cannot reply. Company size and start date are optional.
05Who receives your data
We share your data only with the service providers below, which we use to run this site and to answer messages. Where a law requires it, we may also have to disclose data to a court or a public authority.
- The service that receives the brief form: Resend (Resend, Inc., USA).
- Our website host: Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., USA).
- Our email provider: Google (Gmail).
06Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Where a processor is outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we transfer data to it only with a safeguard recognised by the GDPR. That safeguard is either an adequacy decision of the European Commission or the standard contractual clauses it has adopted. For US companies, the relevant adequacy decision covers those that have joined the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
You can ask us by email (kontakt@junglelabs.pl) for a copy of the safeguard that applies.
07How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purposes above. If you object or ask us to delete it, we delete it sooner, unless we need it for legal claims.
- Enquiries that do not lead to a contract: deleted 12 months after our last contact.
- Enquiries that lead to a contract: kept while the contract runs. After that, kept until claims under it are time-barred (Article 118 of the Polish Civil Code).
- Technical data in hosting logs: kept only as long as the host needs it to deliver and secure the site, under its terms.
- Preferences saved in your browser: until you remove them, as explained below.
08Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the rights listed below. To use any of them, write to us by email: kontakt@junglelabs.pl.
Your right to object. Where we rely on our legitimate interest, you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. We will then stop using your data, unless we have compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests or need the data for legal claims.
- Access: to know what data we hold about you and to receive a copy (Article 15).
- Rectification: to have inaccurate data corrected and incomplete data completed (Article 16).
- Erasure: to have your data deleted, for example when we no longer need it (Article 17).
- Restriction: to have us limit how we use your data, for example while we check whether it is accurate (Article 18).
- Portability: to receive the data you gave us in a commonly used, machine-readable format (Article 20). This applies where we use it for a contract or steps towards one.
09Your right to complain
If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to a data protection authority. You can do so in particular in the EU country where you live or work, or where the problem arose. In Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO).
If you are in the UK, you can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
10Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, and we do not profile you. A person reads every message.
11Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies. It saves up to three small values in your browser's local storage, and only when you use the controls that set them.
The key jl-theme saves your colour theme, dark or light, when you choose one in the footer. If you choose System, the value is deleted and the site follows your device setting without storing anything.
The key jl-lang-hint saves the word ‘dismissed’ when you close the suggestion to read the site in your browser's language, or switch language yourself. It stops the suggestion from appearing again.
The key jl-motion saves the word ‘paused’ when you pause the animation at the top of the home page. Playing it again deletes the value.
None of these values identifies you, and none is sent to us or anyone else. They stay in this browser until you change them, use ‘Forget saved choices’ in the footer or clear this site's data in your browser settings.
12Analytics
We do not use analytics, advertising or other tracking tools at present. The site loads no scripts, fonts or other content from third parties.
If we decide to measure visits, we will update this notice first, say what is measured and explain your choices.
13Changes to this notice
We update this notice when our services, providers or the law change. We will list any new service that processes your data here before it goes live. Examples would be a booking calendar or bot protection for the brief form. The ‘Last updated’ date on this page shows the current version.
